What are some benefits from volunteering at a public library?

I'm 16 years old, I recently started doing community hours at an animal shelter... SPCA, to be specific. My mom told me she couldn't give me a ride anymore due to her busy schedule (I can't afford a car anyways).

The library is like right beside my neighborhood, what would be some benefits from working there? What are some benefits from volunteering at a public library?
Hello,

So I used to also volunteer at an animal shelter back in high school while my mom volunteered at a library over the weekend.

Benefits include some extra cash in your pocket, the pleasure of helping people, and discovering new books that you might want to read later.

In regards to the resume, volunteering at a public library doesn't do much. In fact, I've heard that it does literally nothing because you really don't learn anything for the job or do much. If there is anything else you could do like get a service job at a nearby store, that would look much better on your resume + get you way more pay.

Good luck! What are some benefits from volunteering at a public library?
More experience for your resume.
