I'm heading into my first year of university and hear that a library assistant is one of the best jobs a person in my position can have.How does a university student get a job as a part-time library assistant?
You need to contact the library directly and ask. They may have applications already online, or even a place on the internet for you to search for available jobs.

Working in your school is usually VERY competitive, but most schools have someone that assists students in getting jobs, they would be the person to ask as to how you can acquire the job, or you can also always talk to the head librarian and see when a position may open up.
