If you get a new computer, can you move your itunes library to it?

I am planning on getting myself a new computer but not if it means starting over on an itunes library.If you get a new computer, can you move your itunes library to it?
Import your iTunes library to a flash[hard] drive and when you get your new computer, you can import it from the flashdrive to your computer.

you'll have to reinstall the iTunes program, though.
