What should you do when you lose a library book?

i actually lost 2 library books........ And this is a school library so they r going to stay on my back about this. i remember i was reading them in my room but after that i don't remember where i put them......... what should i do?What should you do when you lose a library book?
Best to be honest with them, call the library and ask what it will cost to replace the books. Then pay them for the loss, sooner the better do not want all the late fees on top.
When I lost a book from a public library, I just had to pay for it.What should you do when you lose a library book?
Pay for it.

Search as much as you can, but if you know it is gone, just pay for it.
Build a bunker and hide, they'll send scary black men in suits at you. What should you do when you lose a library book?
call the library and tell them about it. At least they would know what happened and you will be billed by them.
You will be required to pay for it AND they will suspend your library card for as long as it takes to get the book back.. That means you can't use the library until you pay or find the book(s) It happened to me . I lost an expensive ($60.00) Japanese translation book for 10 years and my library privileges were suspended. I didn't pay for it. but then I found the book in a box and returned and I got my library card back. This is a city library I'm talking about in Washington State. There is a saying that "The banks and the Libraries NEVER forget your status. I found that to be true in both cases.
