I have a fully loaded IPod. I am trying on the ITunes site to transfer the songs I currently have on my IPod to the ITunes Library and /or My Music Document on Windows? I will admit I am not the sharpest knife in the drawer when it comes to teckie stuff. Kinda a new user. Thank you.How do I transfer songs on my IPod to ITunes Library?
Hi leervn,
In order to protect copyright music, iTunes blocks you from transferring music from iPod back to iTunes.
So you need backup your iPod song to computer first. Then adds to your iTunes from computer.
Just get the software you need from here:

Try it!
Hmnmm.... I think I know this one. Open up iTunes, then go to File %26gt; Transfer purchases from iPod. I have never tried this, but I think it will work. How do I transfer songs on my IPod to ITunes Library?
If you have a chord that you plug the ipod into the computer with it should start automatically syncing all of your songs. If the ipod has a screen it will say sync in progress or if it doesn't you can also check to make sure it is syncing by looking at the top bar on your itunes library.
iTunes does not support taking songs off of an iPod and putting them on to iTunes, so you need another program to do that for you.

itunes blocks this function since itunes is the tool with one way to transfer files from itune to ipod. you must utilize other tools to achieve that. There're couple of tools for transferring the files between ipod and computer (for backup)depends on your demands, e.g transfer only songs/videos, transfer photos etc. You can have a look of below review site, hope it useful.
You can make it and all you need is a third party utility which i recommend Aniosoft ibackup. It enables you to transfer iPod's music and other content to any storage device and iTunes as well. And both the backup in the storage device can be recovered and restored with no any change and no any risk. And the data in the iTunes is quite in accord with the iPod's data including its playlists, rating and etc.
So in your case, you can make a music transfer from your full iPod to the iTunes in your computer with this tool and also make a backup for the ipod's content somewhere in your computer as well as a backup file in case of a hard friver crash.
There is a note that needs your attention, you have to turn off the auto sync of the iTunes before you can make this transfer.
