How do i transfer songs from one ipod to my library then to my ipod?

My friend has these songs that i cant find anywhere to download, and i really want them! how can i transfer it into my library and my ipod? please help!!How do i transfer songs from one ipod to my library then to my ipod?

1. plug ipod in

2. go to ipod on my computer

3. go to tools, folder options

4. press view, then "show hidden files and folders"

5. open "ipod control"

6. open "music"

7. copy those folders into the "my music" folder

8. go to itunes

9. press file, "add folder to library"

10. add all those folders saved to "my music"

11. upload to ipod
